Warangal Fort
This massive fort built by the Kakatiya ruler Ganapathi Deva and his daughter Rudramma is one of the masterpieces of the 13th century. The fort consists of two walls, the sturdy inner one built of stone and the outer one of mud. The fort is also surrounded by moat to offer additional protection. Excellent sculpture and exquisite carvings adorn the remains of the four magnificent gateways built of stone. The ruins provide an insight into the grand workmanship of a marvellous structure.
